State Post Bureau: China's express delivery exceeds the sum of the economy!

Ma Junsheng, director of the State Post Bureau of China, delivered a speech saying that China has grown into the world's fastest-growing and most dynamic emerging delivery market. The parcel delivery volume exceeds the sum of developed economies such as the United States, Japan and Europe, contributing more than 50% to global growth. .

According to statistics, in 2018, the total volume of China's postal industry business( Howo parts, Dongfeng parts ) was 1,234.52 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), and business income (excluding the direct operating income of the Postal Savings Bank) was 790.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.4% and 19.4% respectively.

Among them, the express delivery business volume reached 50.7 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 26.6%. It has ranked first in the world for five consecutive years. The annual support network retail transaction volume is nearly 7 trillion yuan, and the new social employment is more than 200,000.

Ma Junsheng said that in the future, it is necessary to promote "Express Delivery into the Factory", turn the postal express network into a "mobile warehouse" and "mobile factory" in modern manufacturing; promote "Express Delivery into the Village", and push the end of the express delivery service to the countryside to help Broaden the sales channels of agricultural products; promote “courier to the sea” and accelerate the “going out” of postal express delivery enterprises.

In addition, it will promote the cross-border delivery field and international rules reform, expand the industry's high level of opening up, and create more cross-border delivery channel platforms. Actively participate in the UPU rulemaking and reform of key areas, and actively maintain the UPU multilateral mechanism.
