Tesla Nikola is listed in the truck market with a market value of 26.3 billion U.S. dollars

Nikola (Nasdaq: NKLA), a US hydrogen-fueled heavy truck manufacturer known as Tesla in the trucking industry, completed its listing on NASDAQ last week at a valuation of US$12 billion and raised US$700 million.

Recently, Nikola's founder Trevor Milton (abbreviation: Milton) announced that he began accepting reservations for his pickup truck Badger, which is equipped with hydrogen fuel and battery packs and has a range of 960 kilometers.

This news was popular with investors, Nikola shares rose 103.7%, the market value of 26.314 billion US dollars.

Nikola focuses on the development of new energy heavy trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cells and batteries. As early as November 2018, Nikola announced a challenge to Tesla (Tesla) Semi to launch its own new energy semi-trailer.

Nikola and Tesla together are the names of American inventor Nikola Tesla-NikolaTesla. Today, NikolaTesla's name has been "divided" by two electric vehicle manufacturers.

A few months ago, Nikola released the renderings of its first new energy pickup Badger. This new pickup will provide two versions of pure electric and hydrogen electric hybrid (hydrogen fuel and battery). The former pure electric vehicle has the highest range It is 483 kilometers, and the latter has a maximum hybrid power of 966 kilometers.

The core (advantage) of Badger this time is to carry a 160 kWh lithium battery and a 120 kWh fuel cell, and these two batteries can be operated through an advanced electronic software system.

Nikola received more than 14,000 hydrogen fuel heavy truck orders worth more than US$10 billion. These orders will take 2.5 years for the company to fully digest.

Nikola’s competitors are not limited to Tesla. For example, Hyundai Group announced an investment of US$6.7 billion for its hydrogen fuel project, and Cummins also bought fuel cell manufacturer Hydrogenics for US$290 million.
